
FOSTER children in Tongogara Refugee Camp have something to smile about. A housing scheme has been availed to them.
World Vision, with funding from Akition Deutschland Hilft (ADH) of Germany, is going to construct 15 three-roomed houses for unaccompanied refugee children living under foster care with foster parents.
The ground breaking ceremony for the housing project was held at Section 10 by the Permanent Secretary of Manicaland Provincial Affairs and Devolution, Edgars Seenza on 30 June 2023.
During the ground breaking ceremony, the Permanent Secretary thanked World Vision for being considerate of the plight of foster children. He urged the beneficiaries to safe keep the houses for future generations.
World Vision also revealed that it will as well construct a one 5 roomed house which shall serve as a safe house for survivors of Gender Based Violence in Tongogara Refugee Camp.
