PEOPLE from all walks of life in the eastern urban settlement of Chimanimani came in their hundreds to remember the life of late educationist, Mrs Shylet Mhlanga Gata at a memorial service and unveiling of tomb stone which took place in Ngangu, Chimanimani on December 22, 2022.
Born Shylet Gabaza, Mrs Gata passed on in April 2022 after a short illness. She is survived by her husband, businessman Themba Gata and two girl children, Atawale and Makanakaishe.
The ceremony was graced by the founder of Family of God church, Apostle Andrew Wutawunashe.
Speaker after speaker revealed how Mrs Gata impacted people in life.
In his speech, Provincial Education Director for Manicaland, Mr Richard Gabaza, who was representing the Gabaza family, said that Shylet was a cheerful person who embraced everyone in life.

Surviving spouse, Themba Gata told delegates that his late wife was a pillar to the Gata both in Zimbabwe and Mozambique.

Apostle Andrew Wutawunashe announced that he was praying for Mr Gata to acquire a new wife who is caring and darling in the same manner which the late Shylet did.
