CHIMANIMANI’s fast expanding tourism venture, Wayside Cottages, has re-branded.
Owing to the establishment of a state-of-art convention hub which is dubbed Magamba Conference Centre, the tourism player is now promoting both the original cottages and new facility.
The entity is now known as Wayside Cottages Magamba Conference Centre – For Work and Pleasure.
The conference centre can accommodate up to 400 people. It has fully equipped kitchen for self catering. The facility derived its name from liberation war heroes (Magamba in vernacular).

This came in the wake of Wayside Cottages being partnered with The National Museums and Monuments of Zimbabwe (NMMZ) in its bid to collaborate with private players for the preservation of national monuments and heritage sites around the country.
Wayside Cottages is working on the face lifting of Chimanimani District Heroes Acre and also intends to establish a Chimanimani District Historical Museum.
Wayside Cottages Guest House which operates just adjacent to the Chimanimani District Heroes Acre gets its business from providing accommodation and facilities for events.

In addition to Magamba Conference Centre, the guest house has cottages which can accommodate up to 14 people. Lion Cottage can host 6 people as Cheetah Cottage can accommodate 6 more and Zebra Cottage has room for 2 guests.
A chalet named Elephant Castle can also house 20 more people. Wayside Cottage is overlooking the 9-hole Golf Course at Chimanimani Country Club.
