Chipinge has been plunged into mourning following the death of one of its tycoons, Doda (real name Edmore Mwoyongewenyu). He died this morning aged 44.
An in-law of the Doda family, Shingirirai Mlambo Chisoro, confirmed the death to Business Wave Africa this morning.
“We are saddened by the passing of our relative, Doda. I can confirm that he died this morning around 4am at his home at 6531 Low Density suburb contrary the claims that went viral on social media that he had died last week. More details about his burial arrangements shall be released in due course,” he said.
Doda is believed to be one of the richest business persons in Chipinge and owned vast business lines which include earth moving machinery, properties and retail. He hailed from Mutsvangwa in Chipinge East.
