Curtains down on Chimanimani Arts Festival

THE curtains closed yesterday on this year’s edition of Chimanimani Arts Festival which focused much on the children.

The festival was held under Tamba Children Play Festival which aims at giving psychosocial support to children after Chimanimani was devastated by Tropical Cyclone Idai in March 2019.

The fun started on Friday (9 December) and closed yesterday (10December) at Chimanimani Arts Festival Trust (CAFT) Centre in Chimanimani Village at1500hrs.

Yesterday’s session saw two senior acts; Ed Garawi and Trymore Charamba giving top shelf musical performances for the kids.

Outdoor fun was cancelled due to a heavy down pour which occured in the afternoon.

In their closing remarks, organisers Clever Rusinga and Super Mikela promised the community that Chimanimani Arts Festival shall bring more programs for the Chimanimani children.
