DEFENDER Moses Okello’s opening goal for Rusitu Tigers in a ZIFA Eastern Region Soccer League match that way played between the Chimanimani side and based Manica Diamonds U19 sent a clear message the Tigers are into serious sport business.
Rusitu Tigers upset diamond miners 2-0 in a tightly contested match that was played at Sakubva Stadium on Saturday, 13 May this year.
Rusitu’s goals come from defender Moses Okello and midfielder Kelvin Sithole.
Speaking after the match, a club official said that he is proud of the team’s current form.
“The match was tightly contested but we managed to come out the winners. The celebration we are having now should not make us relax but we hope for more victories.
“I thank our valuable supporters, directors, head coach Hanyana, the players and all stakeholders be they administrators, drivers and others. We hope that our strikers will keep utilising every opportunity we get,” he said.
