Introducing NDS1

A delegation from the Ministry of Finance and Economic Development descended onto Chipinge On Monday, February 28, 2022 and onto Chimanimani on Wednesday, March 2, 2022 to sensitize people on National Development Strategy 1 for them to understand Vision 2030.

The delegation was headed by the deputy minister of Finance and Economic Development, Hon Clemence Chiduwa and comprised of officials who included those from the ministry itself, the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe (Principal Economist James Hurungo and Senior Economist Patrick Zambara), Empower Bank and the Permanent Secretary for Manicaland Provincial Affairs, Edgars Seenza.

In his introduction speech, Deputy Minister Hon. Chiduwa indicated that NDS1 shall help the country to measure its direction.

“The National Development Strategy 1 was launched by His Excellency the President of Zimbabwe Dr Emmerson Mnangagwa on 16 November 2020 as a follow up to Transitional Stabilisation Programme (TSP). It helps us to see where we are coming from, where we are, what we have done and where we are going as a country,” he said.
