MBUYA Dovi who was reported by this publication as missing has been found and she is alive.
In our initial report, we wrote that the 88 year old granny had boarded an InterAfrica bus from Harare going to Checheche in Chipinge on 29 January 2023 but she did not reach Checheche. We reported that on the day of her missing, granny Dovi was wearing a long coat and an apostolic headdress and anyone with information should help locate her.
In the latest development, her nephew, Taurai Shoko, who had given the initial notice, said that the granny is back at her roots in Gokwe.
“We found her. Thanks to one Checheche resident who managed to identify Mbuya Dovi in the township.
“The resident who didn’t disclose his name phoned me saying that he had identified her and was with her. We then made arrangements to transport her back to Gokwe. As we are speaking, she is safe at her rural home. I would like to thank everyone in Chipinge who helped us in whatever possible way to make our relative return home,” he said.
