ZIMBABWE is rolling out a countrywide third round of Polio vaccination.
This is a 3rd booster of the Polio vaccine which targets all children below the age of 5 years (from new born babies)
According to Chipinge District Health Promotions Officer, Exgratia Chidoko, the program shall start today and ends on Friday.
“We are rolling out a third round of Polio immunization countrywide. In Chipinge we it shall be done at every health facilities, door to door, schools, churches, villages, market places and other places where people can easily access the service.
“For management purposes, all vaccinated children will be marked on their left pinky finger. We urge all parents to support our program by availing their children for immunization,” she said.
