THIRTY-EIGHT families and survivors of a road accident that killed worshippers from Chimanimani who belonged to Zion Christian Church (ZCC) in April 2022 have received hampers from the government.
The beneficiaries received their hampers at a ceremony that took place at Ngangu Grounds on December 08 this year. The donations were channelled to the families and survivors through the Civil Protection Unit in Chimanimani.
Speaking during the ceremony, Chimanimani District Development Coordinator, Mr Joseph Manyurapasi, who heads CPU in Chimanimani, said that the CPU was acting on the Zimbabwean Government’s behalf.
Each beneficiary family received a hamper which comprised of 50kg mealie-meal bag, 10kg green bar soap, 2 boxes bathing soap, 10kg kapenta fish pack, 5kg salt, 10kg sugar, 6 litres cooking oil, 3 matches boxes, 5 packs candles, 25kg rice, 10kg beans and large sanitary pack.
